Carmel Gas Station Robbery

Police are searching the area of 96th and College Avenue for a man believed to be involved in two gas station robberies overnight.

The robbery was reported about 12:30 a.m. near 106th Street and College Avenue when the cashier said a man with a gun demanded cash. The cashier said the man apologized, then ran away from the store with an unknown amount of money.

According to Hamilton County Sheriff’s spokesman Bryant Orem, the suspect is a white male, 6″0″ tall, 200 pounds, wearing a grey Adidas hoodie, grey jeans and shoes, and a green ball cap.

Around 3:00 a.m., the Village Pantry at 96th and College was robbed, prompting the second search.  Carmel police are leading the investigation at the VP robbery, with the assistance of HCSD and IMPD.

Police say a gun was shown at the VP, as well, and they believe the suspect may be the same man who robbed the Circle K, based on comparing descriptions from the two gas stations.
